David W. Gerdt, Ph.D. is president and one of the founders of ETC.  Dr. Gerdt, with over 30 years of experience in academic and industrial research as well as business management, is responsible for the overall direction and development of the company, its intellectual property, and partnerships.  Dr. Gerdt holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Virginia, an MS in Physics from the University of Virginia, and a BS in Physics from Southern Illinois University.

Charles M. Adkins, Ph.D. is the Chief Engineer and one of the founders of ETC. Dr. Adkins, with over 35 years of experience in academic and industrial research, was a Staff Engineer at Sperry Marine Inc, and has backgrounds in optics, electrical engineering, and acoustics. He holds both MS and PhD degrees in Materials Science from the University of Virginia and a BSEE degree from Vanderbilt University.

Martin C. Baruch, Ph.D. is the Chief Scientist and one of the founders of ETC. Dr. Baruch, with over 20 years of experience in academic and industrial research, has backgrounds in optics, acoustics, sensor design, as well as signal processing. He holds a PhD in Molecular Physics from the University of Virginia as well as BS Degrees in both Mathematics and Physics from Hobart College.
